The Sundogs have been existence since 1988 after first getting together in Ames, Iowa. Longtime members of the central Iowa scene, the band has ranged around the midwest and continues to bring its unique and highly danceable reggae rock sound to venues around the area. The Sundogs’ guitar-driven style is influenced by roots reggae, rock, country, r&b, dub, and psychedelia. Original songs that comment on the issues of today, reflect on love, and celebrate community are blended with a selection of reggae classics. Chip Hanson (guitar/vocals), Rick Dressler (guitar/steel guitar, vocals), Dan Lodden (bass), and Jeff Worrall (drums/vocals) conjure a captivating sound that beckons you to join in the experience.
